Welcome to my website. My name is Daniel Dubay. Tattooing is my passion—I live and breathe it. I got my first tattoo at around the age of 14. Shortly after, I built a handmade tattoo machine with my father using a Walkman motor, around 1997. Since then, I haven’t put down the machine. Until 2010, I lived in Slovakia, where I owned three tattoo studios, traveled a lot, and regularly participated in international tattoo conventions, where I won over 20 awards. Since 2010, I have been working in Zurich, initially as a guest tattoo artist, and since 2013, I have also been living here.

In my early days, I experimented with various tattoo styles. I started with black and grey, then realistic tattoos, lettering, and New School designs. You could say I’m an all-rounder who likes to try different styles.

Over time, however, I have focused on classic American, traditional, and Japanese tattoos, which are currently the most enjoyable for me. Still, I have no problem tattooing in other styles, except for micro-realism and color realism. I know how these tattoos will change over time—skin is not paper, after all.

My goal is to create tattoos that look good over time and will bring you joy for many years. I focus on the individuality of my clients and on precise, clean work in a friendly and family-like atmosphere.

My hobbies include building and modifying tattoo machines, painting tattoo flash, and creating traditional designs. I collect historical materials and tattoo machines. I love the history of American tattooing since 1900, considered the birthplace of modern tattooing.
